“Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port” JSC turnover for January, 2012
In the first month of 2012 Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port was handled 185,45 thousand tons of different cargoes , which is by 37,4 pct more than indicators in 2011.
In January of 2012 handling volume of bulk cargo increased by 30.8% and amounted 70,5 thousand tons.
Growth of container turnover amounted 8 739 TEU, which is by 52,5% versus the same period of 2011.
Handling volume of cars increased more than two times .Thus in January 2012 total indicators amounted 3949 units.
65 ships were loaded/unloaded in the Port in January 2012, which is by 20,4% more than the same month in 2011.
The quantity of processed wagons increased by 40,2% for the mentioned period of the last year. 76 wagons in a day were processed for the said period in 2012 which totaled to a record number - 2553 wagons.
On November 21,2011 Andrey A.Moshchevitin was appointed as First Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance OAO "Vladmorrybport" and OOO "VMKT".
The area of responsibility of new chief finance officer will include economic and financial matters, investment projects and work with the banks.
Prior to joining OJSC "Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port" A.A.Moshchevitin has held senior positions in financial companies in EvrazHolding for five years, including work by the Finance Director of JSC "Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port."
Before work in EVRAZGroup A.A. Moshchevitin more than 10 years occupied posts in credit and client departments of the largest Russian banks.
Freight Turnover of “Vladmorrybport” JSC for Ten Months.
During 10 months of 2011 the port handled 927.8 thousand mt, which is 34.7% above the previous year.
Freight turnover of the last month was reached 233.8 thousand mt .It was a record result in the processing of goods of different commodities.
In 2011 the volume of bulk cargo handling for 10 months increased by 44% compared to last year and reached 631.7 thousand mt.
Significant growth of indicators was recorded in the handling of scrap metal, so for 10 months the port handled 243.4 thousand mt, by 43% over 2010.
During 10 months of 2011 the port processed 730 ships and 19,040 wagons. Number of railway wagons increased by 10.7%.
The port's container for 10 months this year up to 88 970 TEU, compared with 2010 figures were up by 42.1%.
In January - October 2011 vehicles were handled more than doubled and was 49 150 units.
On February, 4th, 2011 to the berth No. 46 has been moored m/v «LINGAYEN STAR» for loading of 30 820,00 mt of bulk cargo with expected date of loading completion on February, 9th-10th 2011 ã (at loading norm is 5 000,00 mt/days).
Thanks to a great skill and professionalism of Port's employees, shipment on the Oceanic Liner «LINGAYEN STAR»was completed for three days, thus norm of loading was increased in two times and was made above 11 000,00 tn per day.

Only because of competent and harmonious work of all departments of Port (operation, commercial, mechanization) it is possible to achieve such high figures. Today we can tell with security that Port work is improved, and shipment in such short terms is the acknowledgement of this fact.

The Vladivostok Sea Fishing port as a universal handling complex, offers the services in handling cargoes of the various nomenclature. Today, for the purpose of freight turnover increase, active work on attraction of new cargoes is led. Such as big-volume equipment and metal constructions, bulk cargoes and etc. At the earliest possible date the trial consignment (2713
tons) a bulk cargo - clinker was stevedored , m/v "Sunshine-21". From 30.09.08 till 03.10.08 the vessel "Matilda" with domain slag ( 5500 tons) has been successfully processed.
The increase in speed and quality of servicing, application of active marketing, yields the positive results. Shortly in the port it is planned to handle of transit barley by a direct variant with use of new technologies.
Positive results inspire and give the chance to plan work of port with bulk cargoes for long-range prospect and further to increase their mass fraction in an annual freight turnover of the port.
In October of this year Rusam Shipping Со Ltd has opened a new container line from Pusan to Vladivostok
Sea Fishing Port. At November the company has started scheduled vessel traffic rotation of one time per every 10 days. Except containers Rusam Shipping Co., Ltd handles transportation of automotive vehicles, including heavy construction equipment, from South Korea.
At August 30, 2007, the Port obtained a license series МТ 1008 Number 019208 given by Federal Authority for Transport Oversight of Russian Federation Ministry of Transport for performing loading-unloading activity relating to hazardous cargo class № 2,3,4,5,6,8,9 at sea ports. License validity: 5 years up to 29.08.2012.
In this July Vladivostok sea fishing port has bought a new fork loader and a reach stacker of the Swedish firm “The Squid” with the tonnage of 25 t and 45 t accordingly. For the moment 3 reach stackers and 4 fork loaders work at the container terminal allowing for the new obtainments, this will give an opportunity to increase the intensity of processing of the containers, mitigate the risk of demurrage of the ships and trains.
Besides, within the bounds of production facilities modernization program of the port, the new multipurpose caterpillar-mounted reloader by Finish concern «Mantsinen Group» has been bought and put into operation. Thanks to the great stability and boom length of the manipulator, the crane effectively and safely processes practically all kinds of cargo: wood, lumber, scrap metal. The manipulator Mantsinen successfully replaces an ordinary crane boom with the slings and can lift the load from the distance up to 35 m and luff it for approximately 70 m straight and safely. Constructed specially for these kinds of workings sideshift attachment of the leakproof and comfortable cabin with the window in the floor gives the operator of Mantsinen the full view of the operating area, of the hold of the ship in particular. There are practically no shadows. The loading gripper Mantsinen is fixed at the end of the boom, it isn’t hung free on the ropes. It’s construction gives an opportunity to grasp and to luff the load straight and fast regardless of the wind conditions. The use of the mobile crane Mantsinen will considerably shorten the time of the working cycle and increase the productiveness of transshipment in the port.
In June 2007 the specialists of the JSC “Vladivostok sea fishing port” were taught the methods of adjustment of machines and parameters check of automatic loaders KOMATSU at the producer factory KOMATSU Utility Co.Ltd in Oyama (Japan). During the visit the workers of the JSC “VSFP” got acquainted with the production process of automatic and electric loaders, which the port regularly buys within the bounds of production facilities modernization program. The JSC “Vladmorrybport” plans to continue cooperation with the basic worldwide leaders in production of pick-and-place equipment for the purpose of professional development of the staff.
The Korean shipping company “Dongnama Shipping” has added a new port at call – Vladivostok sea fishing port - to its regular timetable of the container line Pusan (South Korea) – Vladivostok. On the 10th of June. 2007 the first vessel of the new line – “Sunshine Glory” (which tonnage is 256 TEU) – moored at the terminal of LLC “VSCT” (which is 100% subsidiary of JSC “Vladmorrybport”) for the purpose of processing for the unloading of the laden imported containers and the loading of the returnable empty containers. It’s planned that the mooring at the Vladivostok sea container terminal will be once in two weeks with the following reduction of the rotation time to hebdomadal.
This is the second import-export container line of the Vladivostok sea fishing port. Since 2005 the line Pusan – Vladivostok of the LLC “Magistral Container Lines” (MCL)
(Korea, China) has been functioning with the hebdomadal mooring at the
container terminal.
The port on May, 2nd, 2007 receives the license series МТ 1003 019110 Federal services on supervision with sphere of transport of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation on realization of towages by sea transport. Validity of license of 5 years up to the 1th of may of 2012.
The Pecuniary recompense was paid to 127 veterans of port to the Day of the Victory for participation in the Great Patriotic war and for self-denying work in rear, for the big personal contribution to development and the formation of the port by the order of the general director of Open Joint- Stock Company "Vladmorrybport" No. 385/К from the 16th of April, 2007.
In the beginning of 2007 within the limits of the program of modernization of production capacities of port the following reloading resources have been purchased and put into operation:
The port on December, 8th, 2006 received license No.44187 of Federal service on supervision with sphere of communication services on granting communication channels. Period of validity of the license from September, 21st, 2006 till September, 21st, 2008.
The process of renewing of low-powered and depreciated portal cranes proceeds in port. It is caused by changes of the nomenclature and the character of loaded cargoes (containers, a round wood and saw-timbers, heavy motor-vehicles, scrap metal).
In the beginning of 2006 the portal crane «Kirovez», which had been bought at Barnaul factory. It has been mounted and set up on the berth No. 50, and also the contract with «Sevmontage» on delivery of four portal cranes "Kirovez" has been concluded. Two of them are received, mounted on berths No. 45 and No. 49. Parts of the third portal crane continue to arrive by rail.
At first in 2006 the process of reloading of import automobile machinery (basically cars) was investigated in port, and since August as well as import heavy building technical equipment.
For 9 months of current year 2735 units of motor-vehicles (including about 300 units of heavy building technical equipment) have been reloaded.
For the period from January till September, 2006 in port 883,5 thousand tons of cargoes were processed: 66 % in export, 9 % in import and 25 % in coasting directions.

Through the container terminal 26609 containers were loaded in
TEU. In comparison with the similar period of the last year the volume of processing of containers has grown on 38 %.
250 thousand cubic metre of wood cargoes were processed, that has exceeded in 3 times the volume of processing of these cargoes for the same period of the last year.
In 2006 process of reloading of import motor-vehicles was investigated in port. For 9 months 2735 units have been reloaded.
In the
period from January to June, 2006 the Port handled 599,6 tons of cargo,
including 66 per cent of export, 9 per cent of import and 25 per cent of
cabotage cargoes. 13 986 TEU were handled through the capacities of
container terminal.

vessels and 7 754 freight cars have been handled since the beginning of the
year.
In the
period from January to April, 2006 the Port handled 374,5 tons of cargo,
including 65 per cent of export, 10 per cent of import and 25 per cent of
cabotage cargoes.
7 777 TEU
were processed in the container terminal.
The number
of the vessels processed came to 128 and the freight cars handling achieved
5020 units.
Very few people knows about day, that by the international organization of
work on April, 28th has been declared in the World Afternoon of a labour
safety and health.
Administration of city of Vladivostok in connection with this coming nearer
date recommended our enterprise to lead a month of a labour safety. The
management of JSC "Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port" has accepted the offer of
city as pays special and constant attention, to a labour safety,
understanding, that from its condition health, and frequently and a life of
its workers depends. Besides in port the powerful service which covers all
spectrum of questions of a labour safety, from certification of workplaces,
checks of a condition of protection directly on workplaces up to the control
over delivery спец is created. Clothes and спец. A feed to people working in
harmful conditions, etc.
Now position on carrying out of a month-competition which will pass in port
from April, 10th till May, 05th under direction of, the chief of service of
industrial safety and a labour safety, Тищенко A.M is approved.. On results
of competition the best heads and workers will be encouraged by letters and
monetary premiums.
The 11th International Conference and Exhibition in transport and logistics
“TransRussia” was held in Moscow on March, 20-23. The activity was supported
up by the Ministry of Transport and Federal Custom Service.
The delegation from the Vladivostok Sea Fishing Part consisting of General
director Dmitriy V. Zhulanov, Commercial director Alexander V. Mukhin, Chief
Engineer Aleksey A. Kovalev, Chief technologist Vladimir Popov took active
part in the conference and exhibition.
In the exhibition, the Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port delegation negotiated
with the leading European port equipment producers. The negotiations were
stipulated by the reconstruction of the port technical capacities. The
meetings both with the new and present port clients took place as well.
The
reconstruction of many-storied warehouses for packed lumber storage is
coming to its termination. The creation of such storage facilities was
caused by the requirements of clients, working with timber cargo.
The service of the chief technologist has developed and introduced new
technology on packed lumber loading into the supersize containers. The first
consignment of containers loaded with timber cargo has been already exported.
On February 13, 2006 from
the central control panel, located in dispatching office of the Vladivostok
Sea Fishing Port, through the loudspeaker system of notification the
following commands were given by the Chief of Port Fleet F.F. Omelchenko:
- to call up to the in-house fire prevention service of the port;
- to de-energize the port power supply;
- to start the putting out of the assumed fireplace by the forces of the
port voluntary fire-brigade
- to evacuate all staff not involved in fire extinguishing through the main
and spare evacuation exits.
Under the similar script the regular training fire-alarm with the evacuation
of staff and valuable property took place. The evacuation was hold without
panic and fuss. All staff and voluntary fire-brigade were managed to keep
the standard time.
After the training fire-alarm with the staff evacuation and assumed
fire-place extinguishing, the discussion of fire-brigade’s actions and that
of staff took place. The chief engineer of the in-house fire prevention
service Kononov L.Y. and fire-inspector of the port in-house fire prevention
service Mikhalchenko B.N. took part in the discussion. It was noticed that
there are fire-prevention symbols and statistical signs of evacuation exits
in the office corridors. The defects in the port fire-prevention system were
marked as well. On February 15, 2006 the similar trainings on the subject of
fire-prevention took place in compressor workshop of refrigerator # 2,
headed by Y.F. Yepur.
The similar trainings and fire alarms are regularly held within all port
structural divisions as port in-house fire-prevention service has been
operating since the very first day of port functioning. This service
consists of fire-prevention department and executive one; each structural
division of the port has voluntary fire brigade as well.

According to the plan of
port industrial capacities renewal, new shifting machinery is regularly
purchased as well as the modernization of old technical equipment is carried
out.
In the beginning of January 5 (five) new loading trucks “KOMATSU” with the
loading capacity of 2 tones were purchased.
In March the arrival of new
container loaders for conducting operations on the port container terminal
is expected.
The technology of timber
handling is constantly modernized. The new loading truck 950 II
“Caterpillar” aimed for timber transportation and storage was purchased.
The assembling of gantry
crane “Kirovets KPP-16” was begun. This is the first one from the five
purchased cranes that are to replace the old low-powered cranes “Gants”.
The assembling and
reconstruction of the crane KSK-32 on the berth # 53 is being finished.
